The AD series had its beginning back in 2006 when it became the first of its kind heavy duty brush cutter known as the Ammbusher DL-66 and DL-72. This cutter has continued to evolve into an extremely reliable heavy-duty brush cutter that can operate on a vast number of skid steer loaders and compact track loaders. Unlike so many other brush cutters on the market today, Premier specializes in matching up your skid loaders hydraulic capacity to a properly sized hydraulic motor on the cutter to maintain an optimum blade tip speed. We do not build these as a one-size-fits-all brush cutter. This is very important for the overall performance of the machine and for customer satisfaction. We keep in stock a full range of US made hydraulic motors to work effectively on hydraulic flows from 19 gpm to 50 gpm. All motors are equipped with a built-in hydraulic relief valve to protect the motor from damage and to act as a brake for a safe and fast blade stop after shut down. We also equip every AD720 with a hydraulic pressure gauge, that the operator can view from the cab, to monitor the load that the cutter is under during operation. By keeping an eye on this gauge, the operator can vary the ground speed of the skid loader or compact track loader to keep the cutter turning at an optimal speed for the task at hand. The AD720 utilizes a US manufactured bearing hub to carry the weight of the 300 lb. “X” style blade carrier. The blade carrier utilizes a large 8 bolt pattern to secure it to the hub. This hub was designed specifically for this application in an effort to provide un-matched reliability. The AD720 blade carrier comes standard as a 4 cutting blade system. We have an optional blade carrier that also incorporates 32 carbide stump grinding teeth to aid in mulching up heavier brush and debris. We also use interrupters on the blade carrier that help in preventing vines and wire from wrapping around the drive shaft. This aids in protecting the shaft seal on the bearing hub from damage. Much like the original DL cutters, we continue to use our heavy-duty push bar that enables the operator to push over trees and brush up to 6” in size while in operation. We also use the well proven DL style door that allows larger trees to safely enter the blade cutting area. We utilize a front chain curtain to help keep debris from ejecting from the front of the brush cutter. It is our core belief that safety to the operator, bystanders and property is our number one priority. This is why we do not manufacture open- front brush cutters. It’s not worth the risk. It only takes one accident to change lives forever. All Premier manufactured brush cutters are built in our own facility located in Fort Wayne, Indiana to ensure complete quality control. The AD720 deck is constructed of US made 1/4” and 3/8” steel plate. Every brush cutter is balanced and operated prior to shipping so that when it arrives it is ready to go to work. We have the capacity to build, stock and ship to match the toughest time line.
